Sebastian and Nylon Event @ Antonio Prieto Salon NYC

Pretty people, great music, fantastic drinks, and tasty hor d'oeuvres are just a few highlights from the Sebastian / Nylon collaboration.  I was taken aback by how gorgeous Zoe Saldana looked on Nylon's newest issue when stepping inside.  I entered a sweepstakes at the salons front desk to win a gift basket of goodies full of Sebastian hair products.  I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that I might be that lucky winner.

The salon closed it's doors to regular patrons to host the event that night.  If you weren't on the rsvp list then you weren't getting in. I didn't bother getting anything done to my hair even though they were offering their services.    You know, the usual blow-outs, up-do's, and color treatments for women who entered as plain Jane and left as Monroe.  Men and women dressed in all black circled back and forth with tasty treats.  Fresh fruit skewers, warm, juicy shumai, salami wrapped olives, and vegetable shots in a tangy dipping sauce came on wooden trays and I indulged.

The drinks were sweet and strong. I left there feeling more at ease then when I first entered.  I was having a blast and my friends were there to join me on the ride. I had margaritas and blood orange bellini's that night.  I went from sitting to dancing with my hands extended high in the air, my body moving with each beat.  Music was provided by Pretty Girls & Lasers, specifically DJ Jack McCloy. If you want to experience their hypnotic sounds they are the hosts of Primary Colors, a monthly party in NYC.  But have also been known to play in London on occasions.

I can't wait for my next event.  It was so much fun. I left there with a slight buzz, a satisfied appetite, and a goodie bag. The goodie bag included 2 Sebastian hair samples, a copy of the newest Nylon issue, a VIP pass to Complete body & spa for 1 complimentary week or 1 personal training session, and a $30 discount towards any service at the Antonia Prieto Salon.   I didn't have to spend a single cent but did tip the bartender for the phenomenal drink concoctions.  On my way home I flipped through the Nylon magazine.  Fun and flirty layouts, the latest in fashion trends and news with interesting articles.  If you don't have a copy then you need to get your hands on one asap.
