Scott's Pizza Tours and GAP Adventures annual "Slice Out Hunger" event on May 27 at GAP Adventures in Greenwich Village.


They will have pies from some of New York's finest pizzerias available for $1 per slice! Keeping with the $1 theme, there will also be cans of soda and raffle tickets for some pizza-related prizes for $1.


All proceeds will be donated to City Harvest, New York's leading food rescue organization. Lombardi's and John's are rumored to be providing some of the $1 slices..

Cirque Du Soleil: Banana Shpeel

You know me and my buddies are all about the FREE.  So you know we didn't pay for these tickets right.  Yes sir, we saw an awesome show for free.  Months and months ago on a cold winter day, a day where the snow was so bad they closed down banks, schools, and malls, my friends and I went to the Beacon theater to score a free PAIR of tickets to Cirque Du Soleil Banana Shpeel.  They not only gave free tickets out but there was also a sneak peak of the actors rehearsing for the show.  The beacon theater was a mad house.  They had free sandwiches, banana cake pudding from Magnolia, sodas, juices, water and more.  I stuffed my face with everything I could grab, found a seat, and enjoyed the pre-show.  I had so much fun with my friends. 

After weeks and weeks of waiting the day had finally come to see the show.  On Thursday April 29th, at 8:00pm the show began.  The show opened up with a stuttering buffoon which greeted the audience with the help of his fellow clown.  Funny stuff.  As the show went on we saw performance and acts that makes Cirque Du Soleil the well known show that it is.  It wasn't like its usually show but was more vaudeville acts of comedy.  With 3 memorable characters that popped in and out of scenes.  From the old man with the walker, to the balding, stringy haired streaker, to the suave Latin man with his unforgettable walk and mime performance that kept us rolling at the edge of our seat, everyone got a little and a lot out of the show.

Sequined costumes, bright colors, and vibrant wigs adorned the stage.  Tap dancing, ballet, swing dancing and more were just a few highlights of the evenings show. Kids were also in the audience but some of the jokes we for the 18+.  But it probably went right over their tiny heads even though the adult laughter filled the theater.  Claps, applause's, whistling, hooting, and hollering all were reactions we indulged in.

Its something you should definitely see with friends, family, or your significant other.  Escape from reality and enter a world of laughter with Cirque Du Soleil Banana Shpeel.  Let me know if you went and tell me what you think.

Top Button Launch party @ Tenjune April 27th

The TopButton and Overtime Group collaborated on an awesome launch party.  Stepping outside that April day didn't feel like spring but like a cold winter day.  April 27th my friends was no joke and the lounge they had the event at, Tenjune, was right by the water.   Me and my friends arrived there early because you know we couldn't pass up an opportunity of open bar.  From 8pm to 9pm there was an open vodka bar.  I had 4 Cranberry vodka's and 1 Pineapple Vodka.  I was feeling good.  I was laughing, dancing to the music, and still trying to scope out when they would give the goodie bags they promised.

I had such a good time.  Tenjune is located on 26 Little W 12th street and it was a pain to find.  There were so many turns and folks in the streets that I went down the wrong way countless times and with my cell phones GPS mind you.  It was cold and I was pissed..lol.  But then I found my friends and Tenjune and my heart was at ease thinking about how the vodka open bar was minutes away from warming my spirits...with spirits. ha ha ha .  Music by DJ Patrick Carroll was awesome and he played just the right mix.  Hip hop, electric, funk, pop, and oldies filled the room and people fist pumped to the music and shook their hips left and right.  I was having a blast and the drinks made it even better. Pow!

When we left the the Goodie Bags were kept at the Coat check area.  If my friends hadn't asked I don't know if I would've figured it out since I didn't check my coat.  We felt like stars that night sitting behind the illuminated table telling everyone to "BE FABULOUS" and dammit we were.

The Modern Look Launch 2010

I woke up this moring, my heart in the pit of my chest doing back flips.  Why you ask?  Well ,I have a published article and I can't wait for you to check it out and read it.  Themodernlook.com is an online publication for the savy young professional.  We feature interesting articles that are fun and a pleasure to read.  We cover everything from lifestyle, to entertainment to politics and sports.  It is still a work in progress but I am honored to be apart of it nonetheless.  A college buddy of mine is the Editor in Chief.  A colleague of mine and myself have been given the title of Managing Editors.

Dreams do come true.  Im just so excited.  I've been trying to find my groove since I've been in a writers slump for some time but I'm back in action.  Everything is falling into place for 2010 like I hoped and I'm thankful and blessed that at 24 everything is finally coming together in my life.  I'm no longer shifting through the usual 9 to 5 routine.  I'm also working towards my dream.  A dream I almost gave up on because I was unsure.  Word of advice.

• Never give up on something you love and have passion for
• Keep postive people are you, constantly
• Set goals for yourself and picture yourself elavating to bigger and better things in your life
• Make it a reality

The article I chose to work on for the launch is about a unique brand on condoms. I know you're going to enjoy reading it. "Not Your Grandmother's Contraceptive" is written by yours truly. My article is on the front page and also under lifestyle for future reference.
